WAKEFIELD SCHOOL COMMITTEE CHAIR KEVIN FONTANELLA ENDORSES DAN KOH

Andover, MA – Today, Wakefield School Committee Chair Kevin Fontanella announced his endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary.

"As a local labor leader, lifelong educator, and School Committee Member, I am very concerned with the economic realities that my neighbors and fellow teachers are facing in the state of Massachusetts. We need level headed politicians who are not afraid to stare these problems in the face and attempt to solve them. I am supporting Dan Koh’s candidacy because I believe his experience as Chief of Staff under Marty Walsh, our last Secretary of Labor, informs his ability to look at problems, evaluate them, and focus on solutions instead of vapid sound bites," said Fontanella.

Koh expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, emphasizing the importance of a strong public education system that serves all students and families.

"I’m grateful to have this endorsement from Chair Fontanella," Koh said. “Here in Massachusetts, we’re lucky to have one of the best public education systems in the country – but that’s not by accident. We need to continue funding our schools and supporting our educators. I’m excited to work with Chair Fontanella to bolster educational opportunities for students in Wakefield and across the Sixth.”

Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 60 endorsements from local and national community leaders, union locals, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $3.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
