UNITED STEELWORKERS DISTRICT 4 ENDORSE DAN KOH
Andover, MA – Today, United Steelworkers District 4 announced their endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary. District 4 includes the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and the territory of Puerto Rico.
“United Steelworkers is proud to endorse Dan Koh for Congress in Massachusetts’ 6th Congressional District,” said United Steelworkers District 4 Director David M. Wasiura. “Union workers, and all workers, cannot afford to have representatives in office who are more concerned about the benefits to corporations than the preservation of family and supportive middle class jobs. Dan's record speaks for itself: from his time in the Biden administration, to his service as Chief of Staff to former Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, to his longstanding relationship with the Steelworkers and the labor movement, he has proven time and again that he stands with workers. Dan shares our core values of family, jobs, and community, and we know he will support the issues of importance to labor and all working people.”
Koh shared his gratitude for the endorsement, highlighting his commitment to fighting for working families in the Sixth District.
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the United Steelworkers District 4,” Koh said. “For generations, Steelworkers have fought for good-paying jobs and economic opportunity for working families here in Massachusetts and across the Northeast. I’ve spent my career standing alongside organized labor because I know strong unions are essential to building a strong middle class. At a time when rising costs are making it harder for families to get ahead, we need leaders in Congress who will stand with workers, not corporations and special interests. I’m proud to have the Steelworkers on our team as we fight for an economy that rewards hard work and builds a more affordable future for the Sixth District.”
Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 85 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, union locals, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $3.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
