Meet Dan

Born and raised in Andover, Dan stands on the shoulders of his remarkable immigrant family from Korea and Lebanon, who were welcomed by the community he is running to represent.

Dan has dedicated his life to public service and making government deliver for working families.

In the White House during the Biden-Harris Administration, Dan held multiple senior roles and worked closely with the President’s Cabinet to implement legislation rebuilding America’s infrastructure, creating clean energy jobs, investing in education, and lowering prescription drug costs for seniors. Dan was also Chief of Staff to the U.S. Department of Labor, where he helped secure millions of dollars of wages for workers while improving safety in workplaces across the country, all while significantly increasing union participation.

Previously, he served as Chief of Staff to Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, overseeing one of the safest, most prosperous periods in the city’s history, with significant increases in jobs, affordable housing, and educational attainment. 

As an Andover Select Board member, he helped secure clean energy choices for town residents and worked closely with the town manager on a plan to ensure a AAA bond rating, reducing risk of cost increases for families.

Dan has held several successful private sector roles.  He served as Chief Operating Officer of HqO a technology company dedicated to improving in-person experiences, helping to grow it to a $500 million company with over 150 employees.  He also served as Chief of Staff of The Huffington Post Media Group, helping to manage a over $100 million dollar budget and more than 700 staff around the world.

Dan is also the founder of “The People’s Cabinet,” a media platform focused on calling out Trump’s lies and featuring the leaders who are empowering the fight against MAGA while providing an alternate vision for America. 

He is married to the love of his life, Amy Sennett, who he met on the first day of graduate school, where they were in the same class. Her “fun fact” was that she was a runner, and was training for the Boston Marathon.  Dan was not a runner, but said he was. 82 marathons later, Dan still hasn’t caught up with her. 

They have two adorable children, Theodora (5) and Jack (3).  As German-Irish-Italian-Lebanese-Korean-Americans, they represent a proudly diverse America.

He holds a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
