READING SCHOOL COMMITTEE CHAIR SHAWN BRANDT ENDORSES DAN KOH FOR CONGRESS
Peabody, MA – Today, Reading School Committee Chair Shawn Brandt announced his endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary.
“As a School Committee member, I want a representative in Congress who will get things done for the communities in our district. Dan Koh is the candidate in this race whose experience best combines an understanding of the challenges facing our local communities with the ability to navigate Washington and make an impact on day 1. Dan will deliver for the people of the Sixth District, and help reverse the damage done by the Trump administration to reproductive rights, public education, environmental issues and so much more,” Brandt said.
Koh expressed his gratitude for Chair Brandt's endorsement, emphasizing the importance of partnering with local school leaders to support students and families across the Sixth.
"I'm grateful to have the endorsement of Chair Brandt," said Koh. "He knows firsthand what our students, teachers, and families need to thrive. As a dad of two young kids, I know how important strong public schools are to our communities. We can't afford four more years of damage to public education, and I'm ready to get to work to reverse it on day one. I look forward to working alongside Shawn and local leaders across the Sixth District to protect public education and deliver for our students and families."
Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 100 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, union locals, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $4.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
