NORTH SHORE BUILDING TRADES COUNCIL ENDORSES DAN KOH
Andover, MA – Today, the North Shore Building Trades Council announced their endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary. North Shore Building Trades Council is a Local Council of Massachusetts Building Trades Unions, which represents more than 75,000 hard working men and women who labor in the unionized construction industry.
"The North Shore Building Trades Council proudly endorses Dan Koh as the candidate for the Massachusetts’ 6th congressional district. As representatives of thousands of women and men in the Building Trades across the North Shore — among the most skilled tradespeople in the industries we represent — we take pride in striving for excellence in everything we do. We are confident [Dan] will fight for our members and for working families across the Sixth District … We proudly support Dan Koh and believe he will serve with distinction as our next Congressman," said Rodrigo Badaro, President of North Shore Building Trades Council.
In response, Koh emphasized his long career spent defending union rights and advocating for working families.
"I’m thrilled to have this endorsement from North Shore Building Trades Council," Koh said. “Union members work diligently every day to advocate for safe, equitable workplaces and affordability. Whether in the City of Boston or the Department of Labor, I have strived to bring unions to the table, because when unions do well, so do businesses. If elected, I’m looking forward to bringing their fight to Washington and making the Sixth District more affordable for the workers who build our region.”
Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 50 endorsements from local and national community leaders, union locals, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $2M+ in its first fundraising quarter, a record for an MA House candidate.
