DAN KOH WINS FENWAY PARK MARATHON WHILE RECORDING 26.2-MILE DEFENSE OF DEMOCRACY
Andover, MA – Dan Koh, Democratic candidate for Congress in the Massachusetts 6th District, won the Fenway Park Marathon – his eighty-fifth marathon – while detailing 26.2 actions that the Trump administration is doing to hurt our democracy, and how we fight back. Subjects included Trump’s cuts to USAID, the withholding of Alex Pretti bodycam footage, and the firing of the Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner. Koh devoted each mile to a different issue and spent the final .2 miles
“Trump first said [the ballroom] wouldn’t be publicly funded, but privately funded,” Koh said as he started mile 20 of his race. “Now he’s requesting $1 billion for it. We have companies who have paid money to help build the ballroom. We don’t know what was promised. This is blatant pay for play corruption, and we need to stop it, and stop all this nonsense like ballrooms and statues and get back to actually lowering prices for people.”
After winning the marathon in three hours and thirty minutes, Koh expressed his optimism for the forthcoming elections in November, underscoring his confidence that Democrats will take back the House and eventually the Presidency.
“I just won the marathon, just like we are going to win the primary, just like the Democrats are going to win back the House, and we’re going to win back the presidency in 2028,” Koh said. “We will never back down. Let’s Go!”
Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 75 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, union locals, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising $3.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
