PEABODY MAYOR TED BETTENCOURT ENDORSES DAN KOH FOR CONGRESS

Peabody, MA – Today, Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt announced his endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary.

“After more than 20 years in public service, including eight years as a Peabody city councilor and 15 years as mayor, I know what it takes to make government work for your community. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Dan Koh for Congress. Dan’s experience spans every level of government, from the Andover Select Board, to Boston City Hall, to serving as deputy cabinet secretary in the White House. But his qualifications go beyond what’s on paper. Dan knows that good leadership starts with listening — week after week, he’s shown up to our community events, takes the time to meet with local officials and residents, and hears directly about the issues that matter most to them. We need someone with that kind of experience and commitment in Congress right now to deliver for our communities from day one. Dan Koh is that person, and that’s why I’m proud to endorse him for Congress,” said Mayor Bettencourt. 

Koh expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, highlighting Mayor Bettencourt's lifelong dedication to Peabody and the people he represents.

Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 100 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, including seven Peabody city councilors, union locals, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $4.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
