MASSACHUSETTS AFL-CIO ENDORSES DAN KOH
Andover, MA – Today, the Massachusetts AFL-CIO announced its endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary.
“Dan Koh knows how to prioritize working people in government. He oversaw a City Hall in Boston that brought in historic economic development that secured tens of thousands of union jobs. He worked in the Biden White House to invest in and repair the infrastructure working people rely on and used those projects to actually empower communities by providing family-sustaining wages. Now, we have a President whose idea of investing in infrastructure is erecting golden monuments to himself, funded by taking health care and food from working people struggling to get by. We need someone in Congress who will hit the ground running in the fight against Trump’s far-right grift, and we are confident Dan Koh is the candidate who will bring the focus back to improving the lives of working people,” said President Chrissy Lynch.
In response, Koh expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, emphasizing his campaign's commitment to unions and working families in the Sixth District.
“I am so grateful to have the support of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO," Koh said. “The Massachusetts AFL-CIO has spent over a century fighting for workers across this Commonwealth, and I’m running to bring that fight to the Trump Administration. Our grassroots campaign has prioritized earning the support of unions and working families because they are the people who build our communities and keep them running every day. To have the unified voice of more than 800 local unions standing with us is a tremendous honor, and a trust I intend to earn every single day. I am running to be a voice and a vote for workers, not special interests. My actions throughout this campaign, and hopefully as a member of Congress, will show how deeply I value the contributions of organized labor and working people across the 6th District.”
Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 75 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, union locals, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $3.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
