FOUNDER EMERITA OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION SHANNON WATTS ENDORSES DAN KOH
Andover, MA – Today, activist, author and Founder Emerita of Moms Demand Action Shannon Watts announced her endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary.
“I've spent my career advocating for victims of gun violence and common sense gun legislation. We need leaders in Congress who will put lives over gun lobby paychecks. For every minute we spend waiting for change, innocent lives are lost. Dan Koh is a dedicated public servant and father who knows what's at stake. I'm proud to endorse Dan for Congress because he will use his passion and fire to fight for what matters most — keeping our children and communities safe,” Watts said.
Koh expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, emphasizing how Shannon’s steadfast commitment to gun violence prevention and advocacy inspires this campaign.
“I am incredibly grateful for this endorsement from Shannon Watts,” Koh said. “Now more than ever, we need to collaborate with leaders and experts who know how to solve the gun violence epidemic. Lives are on the line — Congress needs to take action immediately. I’m looking forward to working with Shannon to create common sense gun measures that keep Americans safe.”
Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 50 endorsements from local and national community leaders, union locals, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $2M+ in its first fundraising quarter, a record for an MA House candidate.
