MASSACHUSETTS NURSES ASSOCIATION ENDORSES DAN KOH

Andover, MA – Today, the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) announced their endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary. Founded in 1903, MNA is the largest union and professional association of registered nurses and health professionals in the state, and the third largest in the nation, representing more than 23,000 members working in 85 health care facilities.

"MNA has powerfully advocated for nurses and health care professionals across our Commonwealth for over one hundred years. Our members work diligently every single day to provide the best possible care for patients. We deserve a leader in Congress who will fight for us — from fair pay to safe working conditions. We're proud to endorse Dan Koh for Congress. Dan has spent his career advocating for unions, and we know he will bring that fight to Washington to protect working families," said Katie Murphy, RN, MNA President.

In response, Koh expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, emphasizing the dire need for quality, well-paid medical professionals and an accessible healthcare system.

"I’m honored to have this endorsement from MNA," Koh said. “As a child of healthcare professionals, I know the grit, determination, and love that goes into these jobs. Nurses keep this Commonwealth healthy. They deserve a leader in Congress who will advocate for their rights just as hard as they work to keep us safe. We also owe it to our next generation to build an accessible, quality healthcare system that covers all of us — full stop.”

Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 60 endorsements from local and national community leaders, union locals, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $2M+ in its first fundraising quarter, a record for an MA House candidate.
