Climate Change
Climate change is one of the greatest threats we face, and coastal communities on the North Shore are already feeling its effects. As the father of a 5 and a 3 year-old, it is personal to me that the District has the resources it needs to face this threat.
As a member of Congress, I will introduce legislation that reinstates the vast benefits present in the Inflation Reduction Act.
Over three million families received $8.4 billion in tax credits to make their homes more energy efficient.
Electric Vehicle Tax Credits saved Americans $600 million on clean vehicle purchases.
The American Climate Corps trained and employed tens of thousands of Americans with good-paying jobs that worked to keep our lands pristine and our air and water clean.
We must re-join the Paris Climate Accords and work with local partners to ensure climate readiness as a first priority.
We must support our district’s fishermen.
Climate change creates an existential threat to fishermen’s livelihoods. I will work with our district’s fish industry to ensure that their jobs are protected and support our coastal towns and cities in ensuring that our coastlines are resilient.
A clean energy future means clean energy jobs and affordable energy.
Fighting climate change also means creating good-paying union jobs here in the Sixth District.
Renewable energy will boost our country’s independence and can help families across the Sixth lower their utility bills and putting more money in your pocket.
We must continue the clean energy transition, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, and leave future generations a world where they can thrive.
